Hareid Elektriske AS was established in 1950 and has today developed into a group of leading companies within the Group's business areas. The head office is located in Hareid Municipality, the heart of the active and leading maritime environment with shipyards, shipping companies and equipment suppliers. The group was established in 1950 by Steinar Teigene, and has over the past several years had a strong growth. It started early with the ship installation and got a rapid development since the beginning of 1970 involved with it that would prove to be its largest business segment; ship installation on new buildings at Norwegian yards. By building brick by brick, the growth continued in both volume and turnover. Today Hareid Elektriske AS is a group, with activities and sites in several places along the west coast of Norway, Denmark and Poland. The company has have a good basis for stable and good future development through ownership of family businesses Bjåstadbakken AS, AS Jeasimo each with approx. 40%, and employees with an ownership interest of approx. 20%. The Group's business areas are targeted at onshore, industrial and marine installation, and trade. The growth and success is due to very hard and focused work, not least dedication from staff and management.
